A: My name is Charles Adejare and jareh is my stage name; Lots of my friends call my Charles

Q: Where are you from and where were you born?
A: I am from Nigeria and was born in Lagos but originally i hail from Ondo state Ilaje to be precise
Q: At What age did you start making music?
A: I have always been a writer, represented my primary and secondary in essays and poetry
competitions from a tender age. One day at the age of 15 i tried adding melodies in some of poems
and boom it felt like magic. I recorded my first official studio release at the age of 17.
Q: What genre of music do you particularly love? Jazz? Hip-Hop? RnB?
A: I love all genre of music but i grew up listening to mostly africxan song because that’s where i
am from. In all fairness i love afrobeat music the most because that is my root but i love all music
regardless.
Q: Who is your favourite artist and why?
A: Currently it is Asake, his style, his resilient and his vocals
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Reading, writing songs and photography
Q: Do you play any musical instrument?
A: yes i play the guitar not professionally tho hahahaha but i am trying
Q: Where do you get your musical inspiration?
A: From God, i look around me i see the trees, the clouds etc and i know that the intelligence that
created all these things is in me….

A: I will say myself, i may not be perfect; i do have my flaws but whenever i look back on how far i
have come on this journey as an independent artist i cannot stop being proud of myself. I am not a
proud person but i will always give myself the flowers, praises and self-love i deserve.
Q: Do you write your own music?
A: Yes i do, every song i have put out and the ones in my catalogue yet to cause chaos are written
by me and they all come from deep inside my soul
Q: If you were given a chance, which Artist would you love to perform with?
A: Asake, Burnaboy, Bnxn, Lilwayne and Big wiz. I have the songs written for them already and i am
just waiting to manifest.
Q: What would you like our readers to know about you?
A: I am a lover of nature and tropics, i am a professional photographer, a cybersecurity analyst, a
spiritual and not religious person, i have a song coming soon which will definitely take over the
world by God’s grace… it is called “HAPPY FEELING” i have worked with top grammy nominated
producers and artist like Blaise, Vtek, Davido etc. I love crypto, i love tech and it is one of my aims
to start up a foundation to develop young black kids in Africa who do not have the opportunity to
be digital included in this fast-growing community.

Valentina Black has a huge following of over 2.5 million followers on social media with a ready-made global fan-base that has been growing organically at incredible pace.

With her mother, also a musician, as a primary influence, Valentina’s musical upbringing was one of wild contrasts; she listened to James Brown, funk, Michael Jackson and Jimi Hendrix while her mother nurtured her with Ella Fitzgerald and Disco music. Valentina’s raspy and angelic voice and rhythmic flow has taken her into studios in London, LA, and New York. She has opened for international DJ’s like Fritz Kalkbrenner and many others, and released more than 70 tracks for a number of labels such as Toolroom, King Street Sounds and Kevin Sanderson’s KMS Records. She produced several tracks, including the single ‘Everywhere you go’, topping the charts of Shazam, iTunes and aired worldwide on BBC, Pandora..

Martino draws inspiration from a mix of ethnic, Latin, and deep house music. He loves to soak up influences and craft songs based on real-life experiences. Originally from Poland, he now calls Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands home.

A: Michael Jackson and 2pac use to be my favourite artist before I later started appreciating Whitney Houston and R.kelly .

I prefer these artist because, they don’t only sing songs that connect with my emotions, but they also have a very special way, of acting along what they sing to create those powerful emotional feelings

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: My hobbies are ; Singing, Writing songs, exercising and sometimes you can catch me trying to discover new things which could be anything to satisfy my curiosity.

A: No I don’t play any instruments but i would really love to learn.

A: My inspirations are divinely inspired by God through his mighty angels.

Unlike many Southern soul singers who earned their wings singing from the pews of their local church, Acantha Lang’s musical accomplishments were born of pure vocal talent and self-determination. Though raised in New Orleans, Lang didn’t find her voice until she stumbled into the good graces of New York’s most accomplished R&B session musicians — and now, she’s London’s best-kept soul secret on the cusp of a solo breakthrough. 

Growing up, Acantha Lang wasn’t drawn towards the spotlight, but she felt a calling towards music that she just couldn’t ignore. After moving to New York, this calling eventually led her to take the stage at the famed Harlem Grill, a now-defunct space where Black musicians would congregate after performances in the borough. From Puffy, Stevie Wonder, and Alicia Keys to the session players that ran with Prince, wrote songs with Jocelyn Brown and backed Acantha each Monday for her weekly “Monday Night Blues” residency, the Grill was home to the best of Harlem’s soul scene, brimming with the community and the culture of Acantha’s hometown. 

After nearly three years at the Grill, Acantha was headhunted for Manhattan’s renowned cabaret, The Box, where she became the club’s first female MC — a role that ultimately catapulted her to London to open the UK’s sister club. There, she was able to put together her band, write her own music, and start polishing her sound, evolving her voice into the mesmerizing, full-bodied instrument that American Songwriter has compared to the venerable vocal flutter of Aretha Franklin. “When I started making the music I wanted to make… there was no second thought, no confusion,” says Acantha. “I knew exactly what I wanted to do, exactly what I wanted to say… and I couldn’t have done that before now.”

That newfound musical confidence shines through on her 2021 EP debut, Sugar Woman, which Soul Tracks selected as their featured album of the month upon its August release. As Acantha Lang blends Stax-inspired funk with Southern blues, she tells highly personal tales atop spirited, shimmering grooves. Acantha’s storytelling style harkens to age-old blues traditions while grounding itself in contemporary themes, delivering head-on lyrical attacks on fake news (the tell-all “He Said/She Said”), odes to motherly love in the wake of Hurricane Katrina’s disaster (the gripping “Lois Lang”), and celebrations of Black strength and womanhood with confidence and pride.

Acantha Lang’s growth has been slow but sure: a whirlwind journey from humble beginnings to a steadily burgeoning career songwriting for the GRAMMY-nominated Robert Randolph, and earning endorsements from legends like Joe Bonamassa, Robert Elms, and noted tastemaker Craig Charles (BBC 6Music / BBC Radio 2) who distinguished Acantha as “brilliant… an independent artist destined for world domination” in a recent interview for Blues & Soul Magazine. Acantha’s rousing “He Said/She Said” appears on his recently released compilation album, The Craig Charles Trunk Of Funk Vol. 2, where he notes that it’s a track that “…will blow the cobwebs out of your eardrums and leave you breathless and eager for more.”

Acantha has established a dedicated legion of fans online through her “Standing On The Shoulders Of…” Soul series (currently over 10 million cumulative views across IG, YT & TikTok), where she honors past Stax and soul legends with spirited reimaginings of jukebox classics. Her exceptional take on the song, “I Wish I Knew How I Would Feel To Be Free” ultimately landed her a recent McDonald’s TV spot in Europe, too, proving she’s the perfect Nina Simone vocal stand-in. She was accepted into the Recording Academy’s (Grammy) 2022 member class and her single “It’s Gonna Be Alright” was on the first round of ballots in three categories for the 65th Grammy Awards nominations.
