The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter & Performer”Ed Sheeran”

English artist Ed Sheeran is a Grammy-winning singer/songwriter known for hit songs like ‘Thinking Out Loud,’ ‘Photograph,’ ‘Shape of You’ and ‘Perfect.’

Who Is Ed Sheeran?

Ed Sheeran is a singer/songwriter who began playing guitar at a young age and soon after started writing his own songs. When he was just a teenager, he moved to London to pursue his music, and his outpouring of creativity added up to several early EPs and hundreds of live shows. Drawing attention for his online performances, Sheeran hit No. 1 on the iTunes chart before he ever signed with a record label. Since signing with Atlantic, Sheeran has sold millions of records, had a song appear in the second installment of The Hobbit trilogy and won Grammys for hits like “Thinking Out Loud” (2014) and “Shape of You” (2017).

Early Years and Career in London

Ed Sheeran was born on February 17, 1991, in Halifax, West Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom. When he was young, he began playing guitar, showing early promise as a musical talent. When he was 11, Sheeran met singer-songwriter Damien Rice backstage at one of Rice’s shows, and the young musician found added inspiration. As the story goes, Rice told Sheeran to write his own music, and Sheeran set out the next day to do just that.

It wasn’t long before Sheeran was recording CDs and selling them, and he soon put together his first official EP, The Orange Room. With that accomplishment and his abiding ambition driving him, at only 14 years of age, Sheeran headed to London for the summer. Thinking he could find gigs in the big city, Sheeran left home with his guitar and a backpack full of clothes, and his musical career took flight.

Once in London, Sheeran got busy recording and playing the local singer/songwriter circuit and quickly released two albums: a self-titled record in 2006 and Want Some? in 2007. He also began opening for more established acts, such as Nizlopi, the Noisettes and Jay Sean, and released another EP, You Need Me, in 2009, a year that found Sheeran playing more than 300 live shows.

It wasn’t until 2010 that Sheeran made the leap to the next level in his career, and it came via online media, a route Sheeran had learned to use with great effectiveness. When a video he posted online got the attention of Example, a rapper, Sheeran was asked to go on the road with him as his opening act. This led to an even larger online fan base and inspiration for many more songs, which ended up filling three new EPs, all in 2010.

Albums & Songs

When Sheeran headed to the United States in 2010, he found a new fan in Jamie Foxx, who asked Sheeran to appear on his Sirius radio show. Soon after, in January 2011, Sheeran released yet another EP, his last as an independent artist. Without any promotion, the record reached No. 2 on the iTunes chart, and he signed on with Atlantic Records that same month.

With Atlantic, Sheeran released his major debut studio album, +. An instant hit, the album sold more than a million copies in the United Kingdom in the first six months alone. Sheeran began co-writing songs with bigger artists, such as One Direction and Taylor Swift, and supported Swift on her 2013 arena tour.

On a roll, Sheeran’s next success would come when his song “I See Fire” was featured in the movie The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and in June 2014, his next album, x, appeared, debuting at No. 1 in the United States and the United Kingdom. The project featured three Top 10 singles — “Don’t,” “Photograph” and “Thinking Out Loud” — with the latter winning the Grammy for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance in 2016.

In 2016, Sheeran took a hiatus to work on his third studio album, ÷. In January 2017, he released two singles from the album, “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill,” which debuted at No. 1 and No. 6, respectively, on the Billboard Hot 100. Sheeran subsequently released ÷ in March 2017, and announced a world tour. His new album broke a Spotify record for first-day album streams with 56.7 million listens in 24 hours.

As a veteran writer / producer/ lyricist, I have been very busy finalising the last songs for my upcoming compilation album, titled Deltiimo “One Time”.

It’s a pop dance album and it’s a compilation of my best songs from Deltiimo (me) over the last two years plus several new songs.

I have collaborated with some wonderful musicians & co-writers from around the world (even a Grammy award winning musician on one song).

But the final song I recorded actually features two of my Granddaughters. It’s titled Deltiimo & The Grandkids Buzzy Bess Are Everywhere.

The lyrics were written by myself with some help from my two Granddaughters, Ellie & Lana and the music produced by Bradon Grobler from Holland.

After putting it up on you tube just a few days ago, we had so many people liking the song. we had to create a sing along lyric video with really nice graphics.

Could this bee the next Bay Shark”? Excuse the Bee Pun. Wishful thinking.

Q: Who wrote it and what was the inspiration behind it.
Deltiimo & The Kids Buzzy Bees are Everywhere lyrics were written by myself with some help from my two Granddaughters, Ellie & Lana and the music produced by Bradon Grobler from Holland.

I originaly came up with the idea of Buzzy Bees Are Everywhere as a sing along song for my grandkids to perform, but I must admist it’s very catchy. I have a lot of experiece with lyrics and vocals so I had great fun producing the vocals for the song.

New Music From Jas Frank And The Intoits

Q: Can you please tell our readers your real name as well as your stage name?
A: My name is Jasmina Frank, while my two partners in crime are Marko Gacina and Slaven Bolanca. Together we are “Jas Frank & the Intoits”

Q: Where are you from and Where were you based?
A: We are from Croatia, Europe. I am originally from Rijeka and the guys are from Zagreb and Primosten, respectively. But, we all met and are based in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

Q: At What age did you start making music?
A: I think I wrote my first song when I was 4 or 5 and it still serves as an entertainment piece at family gatherings, because it is ridiculous, of course. I wrote my first serious song when I was 13 and attending the local music school.

Q: What genre of music do you love? Or what genre would you consider yourself?
A: The three of us have a very different taste in music, but what we have in common is that we all live and breath music. I am mostly into alternative and indie rock. However, I generally tend to like anything with a great melody and vocal harmonies, as that is what I enjoy the most. Marko is an accomplished reggae musician and plays in the popular Croatian reggae band “Brain Holidays”, while Slaven is a “klapa” musician, “klapa” being a form of traditional a cappella singing in Dalmatia, Croatia, sometimes accompanied by classical guitar and mandolin. Now, the songs on our album are a different story. It is really hard for me to place them in any given genre. If I had to pick one, I would say indie pop, even though some songs cross into alternative or even avant-garde.

Q: Tell us about your latest track or Video ( what is it all about)Please explain the concept or message behind it:
A: To support our debut album “The Girl from Cherry Valley”, which recently came out, a couple of days ago we published a music video for our song “All the Highs All the Lows” on YouTube. Lyrically, the motive of the song is acceptance of yourself and of the world around you – accepting that we are both crucial and unimportant at the same time, and that sometimes we have to go through the mud to be able to find a sense of calm and meaning. Basically, the message behind the song is that you should never give up no matter how hard you have it and that we should keep showing up in each others lives when it matters. The video tries to reflect that message. Of course, it is for the viewers to judge whether it succeeds or not.

Q: Who wrote it?
A: I wrote “All the Highs All the Lows”, as well as the other songs on the album, with my friend Dino Pitoski pitching in as a co-songwriter on two of them. Marko and Slaven did a great job in producing and arranging the songs.

Q: What inspired you to write this new track
A: I wanted to write an optimistic song or an “everything will be ok” song. It was a challenge for me, because I do have a tendency to drift into darkness when I’m writing songs.

Q: Where do you get your musical inspiration?
A: I don’t really write many songs because I don’t force it. I guess I usually write when I need an outlet or when I really need to process something that happened to me or to someone close to me. It is usually a very intuitive process. It is like the song is buried somewhere deep inside and it suddenly comes to the surface when something touches me emotionally, whether it concerns me or others.

Q: If you were given a chance, which Artist would you love to perform with?
A: There are so many great artists, so it is really hard to narrow it down. It is even harder because many of the artists that left the greatest impression on me are unfortunately gone, and a lot of them before their time. But I’ll say PJ Harvey and Thom Yorke, even though it seems almost blasphemous to say it.

Q: Where can fans find you? List all your social media links
I am personally mostly on Twitter and I tweet about music in general quite a lot. My Twitter account is @jasmfrank. The Intoits’ website is www.theintoits.com and the social media accounts and streaming platform accounts are as follows:
